He has been involved in the set-up of M1xchange, one of the most successful fin-tech in the supply chain finance space. Since then, he has been actively involved in various initiatives for developing the supply chain finance model of funding for MSMEs in India and abroad. He has worked extensively with the central banks, government agencies, and commercial banks of India and other countries as well.

As an industry expert, he has attended several forums and conferences and been a speaker at various events related to supply chain finance.

Before this, he worked with HSBC (2007–2012). The last position he served there was VP-Global Trade and Receivable Finance. Before this, he worked with ICICI Bank (2005-2007) and Citigroup (2003-2005) in their respective supply chain finance verticals. He has worked on the credit processes at Escotel Mobile Communications (1999-2003) and Ashok Leyland Finance (1996-1999). He has done his PGDM from IFMR Chennai and graduation in commerce from Calicut University.

• Today, as a part of his COO role at M1xchange, he is involved in creating a sustainable, growth-oriented organisation by:
• Defining business development strategies
• Developing products and solutions for all stakeholders
• Creating a robust operations setup for delivering customer delight and complying with the regulatory requirements in letter and spirit.
• What excites him most is to motivate and encourage people to take up challenges and achieve their goals. He believes in using scientific knowledge, as well as the power of the inner soul, to solve the problems one faces every day.

Off-work Jacob is an avid collector of vinyl records and spends time reading about hi-res audio equipment like music streamers, amplifiers, and speakers.
